Welcome to H.B.A.A.S!

H.B.A.A.S is an amateur astronomical society located in Herne Bay, Kent. Created out of an interest in astronomy, we decided it was time to create a website where other like minded people can come and share their astronomical interest with others on the site, and also at any of our local astronomy meets or star parties. Although primarily UK based, we currently have several members, including international members.

From total beginners to highly advanced imagers, all are welcome to join our society, even if you belong to any other astronomical societies. As we are also still learning our hobby too, we welcome input and advice from others at any level of expertise. H.B.A.A.S has a very broad ranging interest base.

H.B.A.A.S is an active society, with friendly and helpful members who are always willing to offer help and support on all levels of technical ability to help you get the best from your equipment and your interst in astronomy. Please feel free to apply for society membership (it's free) and open to all!

Please register an account to gain full access to the HBAAS site. Feel free to tell us about yourself and your areas of interest in astronomy. We look forward your valued input and participation within our society in the future.
